A 'living' museum where numerous endangered old Dutch cattle breeds are preserved from extinction through purebred breeding. A museum with an educational center that informs visitors about the history of those old breeds and about dairy farming and rural life over time. A museum run by ten people with intellectual disabilities, who through this work will lead as normal a social life as possible.
Fairytale Wonderland

Sprookjeswonderland in Enkhuizen is the ideal day out for families and grandparents with young children. Peek inside the houses of the Gnome Village or let yourself be enchanted by the many well-known fairytale characters. In castle Violinde, you can see the fairytale musical about the spoiled little princess. You can sail in the Bobbing Boats, take a ride on a lifelike pony, or drive a real vintage car yourself. For the real daredevils, there is the swinging ship 'd'Avontuur' or the Witch Expedition where you take a virtual flight over the park. The park train chugs through the park and the Nostalgic Carousel spins around. There is also a petting zoo and a large original playground. Various shops, a restaurant, and picnic areas complete the park.
Westfriese Omringdijk

This 126-kilometer long ribbon is a magnificent stage for cycling tours, culinary regional products, sports, culture, and recreation. West Friesland is the area in North Holland that is completely enclosed by the oldest dike in the Netherlands; the West Frisian Omringdijk. The dike is 800 years old and connects the historic cities of Alkmaar, Hoorn, Enkhuizen, and Medemblik. The Omringdijk winds like a green route through the landscape and guides visitors of West Friesland along the vast landscape with its unique views, the typical ribbon villages with farmhouse roofs, and the former VOC cities with their beautifully preserved city centers. A large part of the dike still forms the border between land and water, elsewhere the dike runs straight through the land between polders and reclaimed lands as a monument to centuries of struggle against the water.

Radboud Castle
Medemblik
Count Floris V had a castle built in the 13th century in Medemblik on the Almere, the current IJsselmeer. The castle was part of a series of five fortified castles to keep the rebellious West Frisians in check. The only castle that has been preserved is the castle in Medemblik.
In castle Radboud, a unique museum is located, dedicated to daily life in the Middle Ages. Through a number of themes, visitors are playfully and informatively introduced to the life of the Medieval person; how they lived, what they ate, how they dressed, etc.
